We try our best to find the horse of your choice. These horses are between one and 10 years old.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY (Please read carefully and return with application)
Purchasing party shall assume all responsibility, risk, and liability for the care and control of
the horse purchased in their behalf by THE HOOF BEAT from the date of purchase forward. It
is understood that the purchasing party shall hold The Hoof Beat and all it's officers, directors, and volunteers harmless from any claims of damage, injury, or acts of negligence, howsoever caused, to purchasing party or any other party. THE HOOF BEAT can make no claim nor
warranty for horses beyond their date of purchase.
Purchasing party agrees that neither he/she not any assignees, heirs, distributees, guardians
or legal representatives will make any claim against, sue, nor attach the property of THE HOOF BEAT, it's officers, directors, or volunteers, for any actions or claims whatsoever arising from
this purchase agreement.
I HAVE READ AND THOROUGHLY UNDERSTAND THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND AGREE TO

Again, below are important requirements, please read carefully before you fill out the form:
1. Please write on a separate sheet an outline of your horse experience.
2. Should you want to re-sell the horse, we would like to reserve first choice to buy it back or, as a very important aspect of our placement efforts, be notified of the horse's destination.
3. Due to the many unwanted horses in Canada, we ask that you do not breed your mare (please refer to the statistics and breeding considerations address in various studies. Links are on our website).
4. None of the young horses should be started under saddle before the age of three in order to allow healthy and sufficient development of their skeletal system.
5. Adopted horses must be provided with a healthy living environment, regular veterinary care, hoof care, and proper feeding.
6. No horsepulling, please!
Assistance:
If, in the future, you encounter problems or have questions regarding illnesses, behavioral issues, training, hoof ailments, barn design, or pasture management, please contact us. As an ongoing program of The Hoof Beat, we will provide free seminars addressing all these subjects as well as assist you individually if needed.
Applicants under the age of 18 must include a statement of financial responsibility signed
and dated by the parent or guardian.
COST: The sum of $1,000.00 includes the pre-adoption fee of the horse, transport to the
foster farm, feed and care at primary delivery destination.
SPONSOR A HORSE: To sponsor a horse, you may make a donation of any amount, which is
at this time not tax deductable. Your contribution will help us to rescue a horse. Rescued
horses will be transported to Nova Scotia at the expense of THE HOOF BEAT. The horses
will be cared for until we can find adoptive homes.
