Blue Skies Bring Sunshine to Claussen Walters
Carol Alexander, the beaming founder and broker of Blue Skies Real Estate has just accepted a long standing invitation to grace the offices of Claussen Walters & Associates. Just imagine.it took 10 years to persuade this self-assured lady to shuffle her sunshine across the street. Rejoice and Hallelujah! What took you so long, Carol?
Although, 18 years ago, Carol came from far, far away-all the way from Upper Canada-she's clearly cut from the down-to-earth fabric of the Maritimes. Carol is as kind as she is forthright; as understanding as she is determined; and forever compassionate. Rain, snow or sunshine, Carol always hopes for the best but takes what comes in her distinctively gentle but stalwart fashion.
Carol is an eclectic soul and perhaps that's why she melds so well within the motley crew at Claussen Walters. In the time before the Maritimes she occupied various management positions in Toronto, London and Detroit for Ma Bell. Together with her late husband Patrick, Carol adopted Bertie, a wonderful, if somewhat exhausted, 1800-pound Belgium mare that had been stranded in Halifax after the adventure of hauling a family and a cart all the way around the world. Maybe, like her indomitable Bertie, it is Carol's old soul that drives her caring spirit.
Prior to founding Blue Skies Real Estate Carol worked with Tradewinds Realty both as a sales associate and as acting broker. A dedicated member of the real estate industry throughout her career Carol has devoted many hours and days behind the scenes. She is currently serving on the Realtor Assistance Program as a committee member and a peer volunteer, is a member of the Professional Standards Committee and is a member of the hearing Panel pool for the Nova Scotia Real Estate Commission's Discipline Committee.
As an associate broker with responsibility for the Mahone Bay office of Claussen Walters & Associates, Carol already taken a leadership role by initiating a mentorship program for the company's new agents.
Carol lives in West LaHave with her deceptively diffident soulmate, Bella, and the haughty felines, Mookie & Ko Ko. It is here, overlooking the gorgeous river, where Carol just thrives as she throws together one of her inimitable gourmet scoffs and where she loves to while away long winter nights with mystery whodunits. And behind it all Carol contentedly admits that it is the governing ad-hoc-committee-of-three (Bella, Mookie and Ko Ko) at whose whim she serves.
