Maeggie Zanoni, REALTORŪ
Maeggie was born and raised in Switzerland, where she decided to work with children and become a teacher. After about two years of teaching, she felt like moving on instead of spending her whole life in a classroom. While philosophizing what to do next she traveled Europe, worked as a bartender, got a commerce and a massage diploma, finally ended up becoming a detective with the criminal police in Zurich, specializing in the organized crime drug scene.
This adventure ended eight years later when she met her husband Urns and they decided to do "something else" with their very busy lives. Their search brought them to Nova Scotia for a 2-week vacation with their young daughter and another one on the way - just to have a look around, so they were thinking... Captured by Nova Scotia's natural habitat and its relaxed lifestyle, they immigrated in 1993 to raise their children away from the hustle and bustle of the larger cities in Europe. They worked in the tourism industry, land development and sale as well as house construction, mostly for European clientele. The next logical step for Maeggie was to take this further and become a Realtor when Pilar and Jennifer no longer needed a "stay at home Mom". She got her license in 2003 and joined the Claussen Walters crew just recently, where she is happy to continue to help people find the right property and to fulfill their dreams.
The family lives in Mill Village on the beautiful South Shore, with cat "Little Joe", golden retriever "Gina", not to forget "Gilbert and Tica", their two budgie birds.
