Tony was born in Florida on February 8, 1947 - fourth born in a family of 12 children. In the early 1950's the Walters clan packed up all the kids, dogs and cats and moved to Hendersonville, North Carolina, deep in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains where Tony was raised. University drew him to Nova Scotia in 1965 and he returned to settle on a farm in Grand River, Cape Breton Island in 1974. Tony has five children and two grandchildren. He and his wife Barbara work and live together with their horses, donkeys, cats, dogs, chickens...and whatever tomorrow may bring!
